Looking for advice on how to adjust my suspension and fix the problem I have when cornering. The surface I have been racing on is hard packed dirt with a fairly thin layer of loose dirt on top. The other guys I race with don't seem to have the same problem, but my car seems to always want to swap ends and do 360's when I carry any amount of speed into a corner.
My set up is basically the stock set up, stock tires with a slight amount of camber in all four wheels. I have the long travel arms in the back because I broke the originals. I have 25 pound springs (red) that have the collers adjusted all the way back (1/4 inch from the end, loose) so it runs a little bit in a ass down, front up attitude. I added a longer throw are on the steering servo too. Tough for me to explain because I am a rookie. In the photo below, I did lift up the back end for the picture, It normally sits lower, especially if I am moving.
I also have the sway bar kit installed.

Any help with the theory, or advice would be appreciated.
Thank you. Doug

The problem is on on entry? off power? Does the front end hook in real bad when you turn? If so you can slow your steering response some by stiffening the front end shocks. I'm not familiar with the Revo so I can't really say how to do that other than new springs. If your turn in is really abrupt I would do that first. If it's still acting in that manner but a little better you can try to soften the rear end as well. It doesn't really look like you have too much front camber so that doesn't seem to be an issue.

Thanks for the reply.
I would say yes, the problem is on entry.
I have the front shock collers adjusted to be "soft". I also have access to every color spring available, so I can try using softer ones.

I was never a fan of the stock tires might want to try something a little more aggressive, I really like the Pro-line badlands. With it being hard pack covered with loose dirt you really need something to get past the loose dirt to the hard pack.

i see you have sway bars put the black one in front and the silver in rear. thats supposed to reduce oversteer

I don't have a Revo but you might be able to find some useful info from this site.

That was helpful, great article, thanks.

It handled much better this weekend

Started by swapping the stock tires out with the offset Truggy Dish Wheels and that made the sliding A LOT more controllable :D
But, It was revving so high because they were a smalled diameter, so I changed to a 36 T gear from a 38 Tooth.

I put the long travel rockers in the front which absorbed the ruts and jumps much better in my opinion. Also put the long throw servo arm on for steering.

Cool truck Doug,
I am currently waiting for mine to arrive. What type (manufacturer) tires did you get for it? You see I am in Norway and most of the stuff I have to get online and it is hard to decide since I have little experience which makes choosing on the net hard.

Thanks,

Arnar.

Arnar,

They were given to me by a friend, I did not buy them.
They say Integy on the side. He said he got them from rcplanet.com

I am still new to this stuff and still learning myself.
