  1. Bashing
I just stripped out my fourth set of plastic steering knuckles on my HPI MT2. A good bit of bashing or a small obstacle and the screws pull right out. I've tried different thread pitch, CA glue, etc. and they keep getting killed. :hammer:

I want to install the GPM aluminum knuckles (I usually see them on eBay, but none are on there right now) and fix the problem. Anyone know of a reputable online store that carries GPM at a decent price?

Are there alternatives to the GPM version?

Thanks...

I would go with New Era over GPM anyday... They are just made with better material...

Does RPM make something you can replace those with? I'd stay away from the aluminum as it will weigh it down.

Just my :2cents:

Thanks for the extra comment busted, but I'm just a basher, and I'm not too concerned about a little extra weight. I'd rather have an hour of fun than ten minutes due to the knuckle losing a screw again. Besides, when I really want to play rough I break out the Savage. The MT2 is just for fun in the hard packed dirt...

I had my gt all aluminum at one point, and i noticed no noticable difference in performance or wieght... just my :2cents:

I know that www.hobbyetc.com carries a LOT of GPM stuff. I've been in their shop and its littered with GPM and Hot Racing, which is another company that makes Al. aftermarket stuff.
