i finaly ordered my savage ss from my lhs and the servo I'm gana put in it is the futabu s9402 high speed coreless bb servo.ill have it in 3-3 1/2 weeks. :banana:
what hopups should i get first when i get it running

First get it put together, then get an in line fuel filter and good air filter
 
since it is an SS... get at least the 3 shoe clutch system... I don't think the SS comes with a primerless tank... that is optional...
 
Your right TRD, the SS does not come with the primerless tank, only the RTR 25 does, which in my opinion is assinine. I too will have the SS in about three weeks, I plan on getting the new style tank before I even run it. A fuel filter, good air filter, and failsafe are probably the best things you can do to any new rc vehicle.
