Yea, I haven't watched the news lately, but I hope every one is ok!

You and your family stay safe Charlie!

theres prolly a few if not more members here from that area isnt there? i know alpine is in the middle of the horror.

I have tried to call him. I talked to him monday night and he said everything is good. There is some tree damage up there, i had to make a run about 20 miles from his house, and its a lil tore up, but not near as bad as Baton Rouge.

lol probably. Or worse yet he hacked everybody's paypal and took ALL the money. Got creditcard numbers and maxed them all out on RC stuff, thn used all of the personal info he has gathered and applied for a credit card under sombody else's name, then maxed it out on RC stuff. Took it all, along with all you silly buyers credit. in all seriousness thoug I hope he is alright.

For those that are waiting on Charlie be patient, 90% of our state lost power and it can take a long time for it to power up again.

No, I just think hes camped out at the F.E.M.A. office waiting for them to pass out free credit cards.

It would be nice if it would happen but chances are very slim that Charlie will qualify for Fema help.

Well for starters he lives in Lousiana, I though FEMA didn't usually turn up there for a couple of weeks after a major disaster, so's not to interupt the president's golfing holiday or some crap ;) :hehe:

>> End of cutting political comment <<

Hope everything's okay over there with Charlie and his family and friends, and to everyone else in the path of Gustav for that matter. Maybe you can persuade the National Guard to make some bigger levees using big piles of rocks or something... preferably along the side of a public park? ;)

Actually the president was at our office today.

He was probably lost and looking for directions to 'New Orlins'. ;)

Sorry, I can't help being a cut-throat cynic, 'm gonna shuddup now before I start a riot! :)

You guys want to talk politics? Fine, then go to the Free For All forum and leave this thread about Charlies status after the hurricane and his pending deals.

just spoke with him. he's headed back to his house right now and the power is on.

woot

That's good to hear.

I was starting to think a tree might have re-decorated his house.

i bet he has over 1000 pm's waiting for him lol.

I'm BAAAA-AACK! Not only did Woodie lock me out, he also changed the locks. One of the girls that stayed with me was the laundry lady when I was in the slammer, and she's an expert at picking the locks.

On a serious note, my family is safe, and that's what is important. We got hit a lot harder than usual here. When the hurricanes hit NO, we don't get it so bad. Since this one went to the side of NO, it went straight for alpinehyperlite, and then headed my way. We had a lot of damage, but not like James had. However, we did lose most of the utility infrastructure. I bought a badass generator, but I loaned it to my uncle who evacuated here because he was on a berathing machine. I had a power inverter though so that I could get on RCNT during the hurricane. The only problem was, the cable was out lol. I went out in the storm, got soaking wet (which is never good when you're hooking up extension cords) and got everything up and running, only to find out that the damn cable was out. I have cable broadband internet, so I'm up a creek.

I came over to my other house that's in another town, and they were in a small section that has power and cable. A lot of the radio stations are even down because they use the internet to broadcast somehow, and it's down.

I should be getting my stuff mailed out in the next few days if things keep improving. Almost all non esential businesses have been closed by pretty stiff *suggestions* by the mayor. The biggest problem that we're having is that a lot of the city is underwater. The storm stalled over us and caused a lot more flooding than we normally get.

About Fema. I pay for my own college tuition and live in my own house, but I can't get any financial aid from the government because my Mom has too many assests. They say that it doesn't matter that I file my own taxes and live in my own house, I fall under my parents wings as far as financial aid, until I get married. But when I get married, I can't get financial aid because I'll be married lol. So you're exactly right, I wouldn't qualifify for anything from FEMA, nor would I try to claim anything because I don't believe it's right to use up resources like that when it's not a neccessity.

I probably wont be on very much for a few days because there is still A LOT of work to be done. We have no power, no phone, and no cable in the town where I live. We have water, but it's not safe to drink.

Oh yea, I almost forgot. I kinda have a new girlfriend now. The girl that works at the gas station near my house has been staying with me since Monday because she had no power or hot water. I kindly showed her that the shower was working just fine, and it progressed from there lol.
