I am new to this. So i bought a Traxxas T-max 2.5 and i can not figure out the high idling problem? Do i turn the screw on the top of the carb or the one one on the bottom? Plus i notice that my clutch will not disengage? Is there a fix for this?

I am not good on carbs but the ckutch sounds like a broken clutch spring
easy fix and only a few dollars

The clutch will stay engaged until you get the idle low enough. Your problem could be the idle screw setting or too lean on the low speed needle. Pull the air filter first and check the throttle gap, most run in the 1-2mm range. Make sure it doesn't close when applying the brakes while you're there. If that's good then you need to tune the lsn. Read THIS thread to help you out.

It sounds like a lean LSN to me. The post linked above is very helpful, and is actually what taught me how to tune my engine.
