my truck makes a weird noise when in idle, like it studders (can't spell) am i too lean or rich?
 
If it sounds like a stress studder like the exhaust tone is breaking up its a tad too lean...If your carb has a 3 setting carb richen the midrange needle a little bit and it should go away...

If its a 2 needle carb ,,,,,richen the low speed needle a tad...you may have to lean the hsn to compensate depending on engine type...

When you have problems its best to state the engine type /size also..

yeah surge is right the tone breaks up. kinda stuck at the moment it dosent want to start
