idle screw!!

i know i said i wouldnt be back but i need help and I'm sure u guys can give it to me. remeber how my idle screw vibrated out and i noticed when i turned off the car and went to adjust ut? well i got my idle screw . but it wont work parts #'s match but the threads wont even start. please help!

You need to make sure the socket the idle screw goes into is nice and clean from any debris. Then gently try and screw the idle screw in. You do not want to cross thread it. Make sure you are turning it the correct way.

If you need hands on help, take the rig to your nearest hobby shop and ask them to assist you.

The easiest way to avoid cross threading is to put the screw up to the hole, and then turn it counter clock wise, until you feel it "jump". Once you do, start to turn the screw clockwise VERY gently.

Before you put the screw back in; it should have a small spring. It will look like a segment of ball-point pen spring. If you lost it, you can cut an ink pen spring up... About 3mm worth should do it.. and use that. The spring puts just enough 'pressure' on the screw to help keep it from backing out on its' own (kind of like a split washer).

i think somthing is blocking it from going it but it doesn't look like a spring it looks like a peice of metal.

Most likely, that's the slide/barrel of the carb: open the carb up to half throttle or so when you first install the screw, then back it down from there to the adjustment.

i dont know hat it is its not the slide because I've tried opeing and closing it I'm stumped on this one. thats why i asked. ill try and ge pics

Have you tried taking the RC and idle screw to a local hobby shop to ask for assistance? If not, now might be a good time to consider doing so.

if you did break the idle screw in it you might be better off hunting down a new carb

problem fixed. but as soon as i started driving i ran into another problem. My steering servo chewed up the plastic connector to the steering arm so i have to get a new one anyone know where i can get a metal one?
