my savage has been doin this for 3 days. it will idle fine but when i get on the gas and let off it will drop a tad almost dieing sometimes it will die. but after it starts to run out of gas it leans it's self out and won't do it has anyone else had this problem and can u fix it?

You are loading up the engine with fuel when you are at wide open throttle indicating that you are slightly rich at wide open throttle and when you come back to idle there is too much fuel and not enough air because the carb is closed.

I would assume you lean the high speed needle and you should be fine. At least that's what I would do, but I'm still relatively new. This worked on my T-Maxx that was having the same problem. I think I had to lean the idle out a tiny bit as well...it was a fine balance but I eventually got it.

Be sure to print out a copy of the nitro engine troubleshooting flow chart and put that in your toolbox as well, it's a big help until you understand the basics..

Just remember, when it's cold outside you have more dense air...but being slightly warmer like it has the past few days you have less density in the air, meaning you need less fuel. You always have to tune for weather, and be sure to keep an eye on your temps.
