well I just finished badically rebuilding my max I had a 3.3 piston and sleeve layin around that was given to mw with a revo I bought my piston and sleeve was shot so I put this one in my 3.3. So I started her up for the first time today from startup ran awesome I ran 2 taks thru it going easy to kinda break in the sleeve bc I have no idea if it had evwn been ran or anything but anyway I can't get the motor tuned for my life idk what the deal is. as soon as it starts it pulls wheelies like crazy but once it gets to 220 230 it wont pull a wheelie at all and the idle is pretty erratic sometimes then sometimes its nice and steady I dont get it I'm gonna pull it and see if its got a air leak but idk I just sealed it when I put it bavk together
 
Hows the compression feel? Like a new sleeve and piston should or really kinda easy to turn over? Could have been a used and worn out sleeve and piston that the guy before you already changed out of the revo. That is a sure tell sign of a worn sleeve to have it lose power and compression when it heats up to running temps.

Sounds like an airleak to me. I just spent 2 days chasing a air leak on my old patches maxx truck. I managed to break my carb bottom off inside the engine case while jumping on my home made hospital bed ramp Thursday night.
 
well I pushed the piston up into the sleve by hand while it was out and it started pinchin about 3\4 of the way up the sleeve so I mean it still has a pretty good pinch I'm gonna pull the motor and seal the back plate and carb and all and see what happens next time I tun it

the piston didn't look worn either no scratches or anything I'm prob gonna end up just running this motor in the winter and getting me a new 3.3 for this summmer
 
pulled the motor and checked stuff out clutchbell bearings were seizing hence y I couldn get it to idle when I was putting it up. didn't mention that earlier tho also broke my motor mount once of the feet broke right off I did run about 7 hard tabks thru it tho once I had got it tuned as good as I could
