looking for help with the upgarde on my tmaxx 2.5
i want to go bigger
whats a good upgade ?? do i have to change anything for a 3.5 to work?
what are some other motors i could use?
any help ?/ thanks.

I have a dynamite .19T which is a direct drop in replacement uses the ez start as well as stock header and pipe. Very happy with performance and torque. Much stronger than the 2.5. Its cost is only $109.99 free shipping from horizon hobby on ebay.

Yes but its a turbo plug head. It produces more power than a normal plug but the only bad thing is the turbo plugs are twice the price of normal plugs. So if your not a very expirienced tuner i recomend staying with the regular OS .18 engine if thats the brand you want. The 3.3 trx and the .18 OS Along with the dynamite .19T engines are all direct drop in engines for you. If you want best quality of these three imo i would say its gonna be the OS .18

Is your going OS yep it is. Or the .21. But i think you will enjoy the .18 just fine.

Thanks. I am going for this engine for its supposed longevity and because I can get it shipped to my lhs and pay no shipping.

If your droping in a Traxxas TRX 3.3 into your RIG you will have to upgrade the Tranny the stock Tranny will not take the increased power of the TRX 3.3...

Nonsense. The black tranny is what i ran for a long time with a bigger engine. Although the FOC is highly recommended. Plus you can't run the grey trans on that chassis without upgrading the short shafts and buying the 3.3 chassis. And if thats the case you may as well do the full extended chassis upgrade.

Can you please give me a link to an exuast system that will work because I have looked every where and can't find one.

Okay look at the second link not the first. It says slide carb so I don't understand why every one is saying it is a rotary carb.

Bubbadee your existing linkage will work on either rotory or slide. If it is rotary you just have to remove the slide linkage post that the throttle linkage is connected to and go directly from servo to carb. I've seen it done with minimal modification. But if the engine you are looking at buying states that it comes with a slide carb then nothing needs modding. But i believe unless OS has went to slide body carbs recently they usually have a rotary body carb. Dont worry because you will be able to make either one work.

Thank you for clearing that up. And Schrodemode will that header still work.

Not sure on that one, I was throwing it out there to give you a starting point. Maybe someone else knows for sure or if you find one cheap enough just give it a shot.
