I want to get this thing to handle like a 12th scale on hard bluegroove.
I am getting the 40 series Bowties.

I need suggestions on how to lower the truck, but not too low, because there are some BIG jumps on this track.
If i leave it the way it is, it will bounce and tumble.
I will be one of 2 guys running the Maxx, and want to give them a run for there money.
All Savage's and M GT's, 1 storm.
I just bought a Wasp .21 small block. drops right in.
I've heard about a lowering kit from Proline, and Powerstroke shocks..
Any advice on this guy's. I could really use the help.

i have the Pro-Line Suspension kit on my sportmaxx, and there are lots of different positiions to put the shocks. on my T_maxx i have RPM a-arms and RPM shock towers which work great. I have Duratrax(i think) aluminum shocks, Trinity springs, light blue and dark blue mix on the front with 50Wt shock oil and in the rear some huge aluminum shocks with the springs that came with them and 90Wt shock oil. works pretty good but i have to rebuild the rear shocks(blew em). In the front and the rear i have the shocks in the middle hole position on the bottom.
My truck(no cover) next to a GR8TMAXX t-maxx with a Mutant chassis.

In this pic u can see my t-maxx and GR8TMAXX's t-maxx compared to the other t-maxxs's, and the savage

As u can see ours sit way lower then theirs. the a-arms are almost parallel with the ground.

and a action pic of mine

Rolex.. was your maxx a 2.5 or the old maxx?

thanks trooper

maxx trooper, i see how your trucks are lower.
the rpm towers have adjustment holes for the shocks as well?
I didnt get this truck yet. should be here tomorrow

Use heavy zip-ties as travel restrictors. Go around the top A-arm and the shock tower. Keep pulling it tight until its lowered to the height you want. Use CA glue on the zip head to keep it from coming undone.

Works great. I use this method to lower the CG when road racing the CyberMaxx

the arms and towers have dif fposition holes ratz. You will see when it gets there.

Man I regret getting rid of my maxx now :( shoulda keep it.

sorry FSTFBDY..I know it will be missed. I'll take a pic of the first big wreck and email it to you....J/K.
Thats a cool tip Eddy, I'll try it

The RPM towers have no adjustment holes for the top of the shocks, just 1 hole.

That's a cool cover/roll bar on your maxx. Where did u get it?

the roll cage is made by www.tmaxxrus.com only cost $40, Lifetime warrenty, and its chrome plated.

FastEddy- i forgot about that old trick. i use to use them before i got the RPM a-arms, then i just started to adjust the shocks by moving the holes.

when i race i make sure that my a-arms are level straight across when u look at it from the front view and it works good

RatzoRC, here's a look at one of mine from the bottom with the proline setup. Multi possiton ajustments for the shocks at the top and bottom. This truck's a arms are almost parallel with the ground and the shocks are fully extended when set at the lowest possiton.

Rolex - When I look @ that second pic I can't help but think how bad that Stadium truck is gonna get jacked if one of those MT's goes flying into it.

thanks stretch.. That seems to be the way to go..
the other suggestions creative i might add, will work, but i think i'd rather do something more solid, like the proline set up.

yeah, no poop, that looks like a race chassis if I've ever seen one for a maxx.

Soften the springs and lighten the oil while you are at it.

What kinda chassie is this?Is this a truggy?

Well the Maxx that I'm getting, is a wide maxx already. (2.5)
Would it then make sense to only get the proline shock towers from that kit, for the adjustable shock positions? I don't want to take off the RPM arms.

It WAS the old Maxx, .15, but it now has the Pro Line setup and a new 2.5 in it.
I had done what FastEddy mentioned. I strapped it down with zip ties just to see how it would behave, and ended up ordering the Pro Line the next day. I seem to recall that it said 1 1/2 inch lower, and 1 1/2 inch wider.
You can also lower it by opening your shocks and putting a length of fuel line on the piston rod to keep it from returning to full length. That's a lot of work though, when you have 8 shocks, and it won't widen it.
My neighbor has the same truck with the 2.5, but the stock suspension. Mine will lock brakes and skid to a halt, and his does a summersault. Pro Line is the way to go.

Yes. But I stated that I have the wide Maxx already. the proline kit wont make it any wider. The proline arms are the same size as the RPM arms. I was wondering if I just bought the Proline shock towers, would it do the same?
