I want to convert to a hump pack ?????

I have the 4909, I got it used so i am not sure if it is in original configuration or not. yes its a 3.3


ANYWHO.... right now I am using 4 rechargeable AA batteries in the reciever.

The battery box does not have the flap for plugging in a charger.

What is the best hump pack to get? ( traxxas I assume??)

What else do i need to replace in order to use / recharge the hump pack?

Money is not a concern, I want to do it right. And if possible get an aluminum battery box while I am at it.

So I need to know

1 what hump pack is best

2 what wiring, switches ect do I need for the conversion

3 what battery box is compatible with the hump pack (aluminum prefered)


I allready have a charger with the "pigtail" for the hump pack.

Come to think of it... if anybody has seen take off parts on ebay let me know.

i bought an orion 1600 hump for my maxx. had to get the proper switch that had the charger cord. i just let the cord hang till i bought a tmaxx battery box(grey one) that had the charge jack. one of the best upgrades i believe.

i think this is what you want. it is a 2300 mah lipo receiver battery pack and a voltage regulator the voltage regulator glows with a blue led light that flashes when the charge is low. i have charged it ounce and have run my truck a few times still have not seen the flashing led. my battery box is from rd lodgic (aluminum)i use a switch that does not have a plug for charging because the rd box does not have a port for charging. keep in mind that this battery pack is lipo you must have a lipo charger i use the bantam bc6 it charges anything but can be a little confusing I'm still tring to figure it out hope this helps.

This is the part number for the traxxas harness that comes with a new switch and charge port for convenience TRA3034 my local HS had one for 5 bucks. I found I get about 2 hours of run time(10 tanks of fuel) on these packs and because of the added voltage your servos are very very responsive. Night and day differnece between alkalines.
