Hi i was running my t-maxx 2.5 today after more tuning problems, and i was changing from forward to reverse to get it to wheelie from time to time and i did keep getting it to wheelie but then i noticed that when i turned the spur gear it would only once a rotation it would be hard to turn then it would be normal again, cause when it's moving i can hear that sort of grinding sound or simular coming from the clutch area.

Could i have broke a clutch by hard throttling it a few times so it will wheelie?
I didn't run it long after i knew of this problem?

From the sounds of it, you may have burned the clutch onto the spur gear, leaving it permanently in gear.

But if it idles without moving then that isn't the problem...could be something in the drivetrain.

You probably broke the reverse gear in the tranny. Two plastic gears slide together when you put it back into forward, and if you were on the gas when it shifted to forward you probably broke the little tabs off. Its no big deal to fix it, just take the trans apart and follow the trail of little chunks of plastic. The reverse gear set is about $4.00.

Going in reverse then throwing into forward is not good. Puts a lot of strain on the gears just like in a 1:1 car. Something is bound to break.

wot i meant was that i switched from forward to reverse whilst stopped, so i couldn't of blown revese because it still goes into reverse, and it idles fine well sort of typical maxx that it is.

I'm now beging to think it is something to do with the engine because it feels like it's coming from the engine but i can drive it and it makes the same noise but it still goes alrite.

I'm kidov confused,
so, you where driving from reverse to forward to make it wheelie, and you stopped at a grinding noise, and it just sometimes does the grinding noise.
hey guys, do you think it could be like a fricked up diff or something in the tranny??
