Well I started stocking up on parts. So far this is what I have....

I'm going to try the frog legs (adjustable wheelbase rear arms)

Complete set of axle carriers
complete set of wheel hexes and pins
NIP fuel tank
Spare set of front upper/lower arms (both left and right)
Bought some frog legs so I'll have the stockers as spares
Complete hing pin/spacer set
Roll bar

And the most expensive part I could find for the revo.......the heavy duty servo saver spring :D

Anything else you guys would suggest?

No spare chassis? LOL Sorry when I started to bring one with me to away races and one of my race buds started making fun of me I knew I had to much crap!!! May want to had a dif rebuild kit along with the ring gear.

alright I'll look into it.

You know I thought about a chassis, but if I wreck hard enough to mess up the chassis I think its time to put it away for a few days.

I picked up a chassis off eBay just throwing low bids out there. Brand new, I think I got for less than $15 shipped. Only reason I have it. But the dif stuff I do highly recommend. You could always build it up with alternate fluid for testing or whatever you run and have it ready to go just in case.

Yeah, I plan on running against some other guys at a different track! WOO HOO!

This would be my first time actually racing for real. We do some mean laps at our track, but never more then 5 of us at a time. I can't wait! When it comes to RC I wish I was still in Cali!

Spare pipe and header. I'd name more stuff but I carry 3 of everything as well as chassis like jet. Basically enough to build 3 complete rollers.

Do you still run your revo diver?

I didn't even think of the pipe. I know the headers are prone to breaking.

I don't have my Revo any longer. I went strictly with buggies for offroad. Ratzo's got it now and I have his Kanai 3.

-must be nice......

Usually what I do when I get my kits is plan on at least getting 2. One to build and one to keep for parts. At least that way, I know that I have everything needed for when I break at the track. As the season wears on, I will add doubles or tripples of things that break the most. Things just keep adding up and before I know it, I have everything to keep running at the track. I know it's a bit different for an RTR, such as the T-maxx, REVO, RTR Buggies and others since most of those don't come in kit form. If you go through their parts list that is included with the manual, corresponding part numbers will be there for your referrence. Don't forget to bring the exploded parts sheet for referrence as well.

Here's a list of what should be on the parts list of anyone going to the track whether it's offroad or onroad ...

  • Shocks (fully built or unassembled)
  • Shock oil (various weights)
  • Springs (various ratings)
  • Turn buckles
  • Bushings
  • Drive shafts or belts
  • Front and rear shock towers
  • Upper/Lower arms
  • Hing pins
  • Clutch components
  • Spur/Pinion
  • Bearings
  • E clips
  • Servos and servo horns
  • Diff oil (various weights)
  • Axles
  • Spare receiver
  • Crystals (if not synthesized or DSM)
  • Fuel tank
  • Pipe/Header
  • Exhaust gaskets
  • Exhaust coupler
  • Spare differential components
  • Wheel nuts
  • Linkages
  • Ballcups
  • Ball ends
  • Glow plugs (various heat ranges ... plan accordingly)
  • Spare engine (if possible)
  • Various tire sombos (various shores for onroad, various treads for offroad)
  • Spare batteries and/or rx packs
  • Screws
  • Body clips
  • Pillow balls
  • Outdrives
  • Air filter
  • Fuel tubing

Of course, different vehicles will require additional or manufacturer specific parts. For the most part, if the majority of these parts are in your parts box, your day will not end early. As far as the spare engine is concerned, that's not a "must" but if you are having problems with one (air leaks or "pop an engine") you can cut the frustration short and just throw in an engine you know will run. The problematic engine can be taken care of once you return home.

VB has already mentioned items in my list but I was too lazy to double check what was already mentioned. Of course, there are other items that should be with you at the track but that's a different list. Most of those items are common sense (food, drinks, tools, etc ...)
