Turns out it's an Avalanche and the wheelbase looks close enough for the xmaxx. Let the hack job commence!

Should look mean when its done.

You have the most eclectic collection of rc's! 😍
Thank you. I'm not wrapped too tight, I've heard 😆.
I've had the 8s xmaxx for awhile with a barbie camper body that's been beat to poop but is still holding up. Time to give it a break.

It's hacked and the body fits pretty good. I had to go just a little further to the rear than I wanted but there's always compromises with these things.
I have a feeling this one is going to take a while to get finished.

Hell, it looks great like that in my opinion. The front arms travel back at an angle anyway, so they fall towards the arches. Love it man!

Step one is done. I had some new xmaxx body mounts in my parts and everything worked out with minimal cutting. I mock everything up with a good grade of hot glue and then screw it in place. Sometimes the glue can be structural if you use a high grade and apply it red hot. Don't discount it's use in construction and NO dollar store crap. Always check to make sure your getting a good bond before proceeding too far, sometimes it sticks like baby poop to a blanket and sometimes it don't 😡.
Check out the pics if you're into butchering plastic.

I think I'll detail and use this motor in the back. I'll just remove the bed cover and slide it up to the back window. I might use Velcro or rubber bands and possibly a combination of both to mount the motor so it doesn't get beat too badly and rattle apart. I wish I had another one for the front...
