I have the newer t-maxx and want to stiffen the shocks without replacing them, for now. SHould I just add shock collars or get stiffer springs or thicker oil?

Any advice :coffee:

I would suggest a heavier oil and some trinity blue or black springs, both of these will stiffen up the suspension. I use 60 weight oil and blue springs all the way around.

Adding collars does not stiffen the suspension, it will only adjust the ride height.

The above post is great advice.

If you are using the stock shocks you will run into issues using a stiffer setup. One of the weakest points on a stock T is the shock caps. They love to pop off and ruin your day. Upgrading your shocks when you have a chance will be a good idea. There are many threads on this subject is you use the search function.

Good Luck and have fun.

ya fasteddy said it, the new springs are a great idea, but i had 4 trinity black and 4 trinity blue springs on my stock shocks, hit a table top at the lhs and 5 caps busted off. so go and get new a new set of shocks ASAP
