hi everyone,
i want to buy a new body for my tmaxx but i dont know if i have the short or long chassy.. can someone please help?????
and where can i find some nice bodies that i dont have to trim?????
thanks in advance:D:D:D:D

Measure your wheel base. Check e bay for bodies. Most bodies will come needed cut out and painted. It's not hard at all. Just get some curved scissors and a hole reamer. About ten bucks. Take your time and it'll turn out good. You can practice on old 2 liter bottles.

thanks. but how long is the short or long chassy?
and is there any other place where i dont have to trim????

its a used tmaxx that i bought from a co worker. how to i know if its a 09 or 08???

Look at your chassis if it angles up in the front you have a long body (4909) if it flat in the front then you have a short body (4908) hope that helps.

the 4908 is the LONG body. the 4909 is the SHORT body. the 4908 will accept 1/8 scale aftermarket bodies. the 4909 1/10 scale. the best way to tell is what was said above, the angle of the front of the chassis. its 30mm longer on the 4908 and instead of it squaring off, it has about a 30-40 degree angle to the bulkhead mounts. if you can clearly see the front output shaft of the tranny from the top looking down, and it is not obstructed by the brake/throttle servo, then it is the extended wheelbase. also the 4908 has a 4mm thick chassis plate, the 4909 is 3.5mm. somewhere within this you should be able to make a determination.
