most people are telling me to look for the hyper 8 port. I have about a 150$ budget. the OFNA engines look like they have a really good price, but i dont know if they are good mills. so just give me your thoughts on whats good in the BB world.
thanks in advance

The XTM 24.7 is a awesome motor and will offer some more torque over the 8 port and more horsepower (2.6). It also fits in your budget!! Hobby People is a great source for XTM stuff!!

Another GOOD choice would be a HPI Nitrostar S-25. Its has gobs of torque and makes the same HP as the 8 port. Another motor in your budget.

BTW, my XTM 24.7 purrs like a kitten when idling and rips through the powerband!! A very strong, easy to tune (only 2 needles) motor.

Yes get the xtm 24/7. It is a very fast relieable engine. It has tons of horsepower and the speed when you need it. It is proubly the best racing engine in your budget. I say go for it!!!

Don't know anything about the XTM 24.7, but I do know the Hyper 8 port (at least with an OS 20E carb) is a nice mill. Someone just told me yesterday that tower has them for $120, but I haven't looked for myself to vouge for it.

hyper 8 are good engines run good, easy to tune, tons of power for a maxx, really cheap under a hunderd on ebay

I run the S-25 in my truck and love it. So far I have 5 gals and I still win the races. Easy to tune, ect
