hello I'm new to the rc world and bought a new t maxx 2.5. I have been reading that he 3.3 trans is much stronger my question is can i buy a 3.3 trans and just switch themout or not. By the way it is a 2.5 not a 2.5r. thank you in advance
 
i'm 99% sure that you can. BUT why would you want to? Is the truck new? I would use the 2.5 tranny until it breaks. Why spend $100 on a new tranny. IMO abuse the 2.5 then replace with a 3.3 tranny.
 
Now heres my question: You can swap 2.5 for 3.3, can you swap a .15 in favor of a 3.3? Theres a bunh on ebay for cheap and I want to beef things up in preperation for a .26.:D
 
When you put in the 3.3 tranny you are going to need 3.3 shafts all around and yolks,also.
