so rolex, you plan on firing up the savage anytime soon?

I've BROKEN NOTHING BUT AN O RING ON THE CARB! I've been bashing like crazy for 4 months now with my savage oh wait i broke the plastic antenna tube but i taped it again so doesn't count:)

i have had my x ss for 9 months now and alli have broken on it was a shock shaft. and let me tell you i beat the living crap out of my truck. i back flip it on to the roof of my house and drive it off the other side. Its awesome.

SAVAGES ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta Love Em

ihave a savage x 4.6 also, and i love it. so far i boke 3 driveshafts, the roto start berring inside the back of the motor plate, stripped spur gear and thats about it. I've got some more driveshafts and spur gear on the way now :D

How the hell do you bend TVP's

Runaway, full throttle into a wrought iron mailbox post. Failsafe didnt help because the battery actually disconnected from the receiver, so there was no servo power to bring it back to closed throttle.

Funny thing is the only thing that actually broke was one of the uprights. Had that fixed in about 10 minutes, then I realized the whole chassis was shifted about 3/4" in the front. I ran it like that anyway, it drove OK (obviously didnt track very well!!)

Fixed the TVPs by just pounding them back flat with a rubber mallet.

Darn truck is sure a lot more reliable than my Tmaxx!! On a good day I could get thru a half tank on the Tmaxx before breaking something. When my Savage actually runs out of fuel I dont know whats going on because I'm not used to it!

Savage Over MAXX anyday? idk about that i have a maxx and i love it. and i dont break alot. I've been thinkin on buying a Savage but dont know which kind. mBut it looks like yall love it so i just might too!! good luck

I still have my Maxx, actually. Didnt get any hits when trying to sell it, so its kinda just hanging out in my basement, in a bag, in pieces. I think all it needs is an engine and electronics and its good to go.........maybe someday!

Okay so i spent the whole entire day out bashing with my savage, and i'm use to something like the maxx. Holy Sh**!!!:D:D what a difference!! With any of the maxx's i had i would always break something, no matter what! This thing caught TONS of air, cartwheeling all over, back flips (well kinda...:hehe:) and pure out just bashing the hell out of it! I didnt break a DAMN thing either! I didn't know that was possible with anything.:celebrate3:

All i have to say, is DAMN! The savage is a BEAST! there's a reason it's called a SAVAGE! :D:D=devil=devil

in my book, the savage is:first_place::first_place::first_place:

Now you see what we've been trying to get you to understand all these months. Congrats on the good bash session, get used to it. You really have to abuse a savage hard to break parts.

To the guy who's stripped all those spurs, are you using loc-tite and lining up the gear mesh properly?

Once you've gotten to spend some trigger time with a savage you will understand what we're talking about. The general engineering and chassis design and bulkheads on the T-Maxx create a lot of weak points, and those don't change no matter how many upgrades that you put on. The Savage is designed completely different and is much more durable. For bashing, the Savage can't be beat. For racing a truggy will handle better than the MT's, but then again the Savage and T-Maxx are not designed for racing, they're bashers. By far the best small scale basher that I've had has been the Savage.

Well from the beginning of the post i thought i had i nice savage with a cool engine. Yeah it was a .32 but nothing special, kept up with most .28's and smaller 1/10th scale rigs. But again nothing special. Well After i got home from the LHS with some nitro I'm checking everything and notice my carb was only opening half way! HOLY SH*T! What a difference. I took it out and slammed the throttle and up the front end went, with needles! It was either that or 4wd burnouts on dry grass. I put on my 7.7 UFO tires and stomped on the throttle and up the front end went.....for a second. Both the rear rims stripped out. 14mm ain't big enough. Now i want to see it at a track.

I'll keep with the 23 simply because i already have 23mm hex's. Other wise i would
