I love my T-Maxx

I know there are a ton of opinions out there about different MT's and different styles of racing, but I just wanted to put it out there that I really love my T-Maxx.
I got mine new for Christmas from my parents, yes I'm 28 and married and my folks still give me toys, and it has been nothing but a kick in the pants since. I must admit that I knew nothing going into this hobby other than what I had seen once in college when I knew I could never afford to participate. Everyone on this site has been so helpful, and I am thankful that I found it when I did.
Going from the RTR maxx to my little monster that I have now has been a tough learning experience at times, but I have always known that I could drop by here for help when I needed it. It is amazing when you think that we are a bunch of people, literally all over the world brought together by nitro RC cars.
I guess I should explain why I am suddenly so maudlin over this hobby. . . Today in Northern Illinois (Go Illini!!!!!) It was sunny and warm whithout a cloud in the sky. Truly my first proper day for bashing and my little Maxx was purring like a kitten. I built a quick ramp with adjustable legs and kept getting more and more confident until I was backflipping on command and gennerally terrorizing my neighborhood. Max temp 291, nothing broken, no mud or snow to clean up, wheelies at will and easily 40mph down the street. The only way it could get any better is if there was someone to race. My next doo neighbor brough out his little radioshack piece of crap and it was just embarassing for him, but funny for me. It is a MT, but it couldn't even go on the grass. . .

Anyway, I know this is long and most of you are looking for a point, there isn't one. I just wanted to get a little of this excitment off my chest since my wife tends to just look at me funny.

Keep bashing everyone, and let me know if any of you are near Round Lake for a little race/bash. :idea:

I'm like you 30 going on 15 lol I too have a Maxx and when It runs I really like it lmao! I wish my parents would buy me toys still lol, my dad thinks my Rc,s are very cool I've heard him talking to his friends about them and all the things I have done to modify them exspecialy the Maxx. I know the wife look lmao I tell my wife about my truck and she give me the "look" and say thats nice hunny I'm glad your having fun with your toys hehe. I was bummed today it was almost 75 here in Colorado and my Maxx isnt running right now, I could have taken out the electric Rustler but its just not the same, doesn't annoy the neighbors hehe by the way nice Maxx I like the color scheme blue and florecent green very unique

That would be cool to run your rc with someone else lmao. I have only done that once with my Bro when I had two running rustlers and it ended shortly when we where racing and I hit a parked cars tire and snapped the a arm.

I'm having tuning issues with mine. Keeps cutting off as it idles down from WOT. I am in CA and the temps are rising so hopefully that helps it out.

For the record, Round Lake is still in IL. Just way north of Chicago. I lived downtown for 2 years, and I promise we still speak the same language out here :boxing:

Glad to hear you are having fun. I wish the weather would break here in MD. It has rained every weekend since... I can't remember. Well today is gorgeous and the middle of the week looks great as well... temps in the 70's. I am stuck here in the office too... I guess I can't complain, without this job there is no RC. Guess what though, Saturday and Sunday look to be cold and wet again!

Anywho, my girlfriend ( soon to be my Fiance).. well if she say yes anyway! :shrug: I hope she does..... for what it cost for that diamond I could have one hell of an RC collection by now!

She is the one who bought me my first Maxx and she deals with it I suppose. I try and talk to her about it and I get the old... Thats nice dear. I tried to share the joy by taking her to the LHS with me..... lets just say 45 min later.. she asked me never to invite her again. Oh well I guess she will never understand. Still looks at me like I am a kid. Well I am 28, and I guess I am still a toys r us kid! Keep em running guys... Pray for warmer weather.

that's going to be my next tatoo...I can't say that enough to people.....I don't even speak RC to the girlies...they run quicker than a crackhead on speed when they think you play w/ toys......at least here in the land of fakeness in honeys.....but I did get a few questions when they'd come over and see the bench where my dining room used to be.......I had a maid service come every 2 weeks and she was probably the only female that seemed truly interested in them......
