I have never had a gas RC car before now and i was just looking for some tips.

Like whats the best gas?
How to run it to break it in?
or any other things that might help me not break it the first time i use it.

plz help me with some tips.

Well is it used or new? if its new I would use Traxxas topfuel to keep the waranty on and ohh fill that piece of paper out and send it in.

Instert the supplied Traxxas DVD into a DVD player or PC DVD-ROM drive.
Watch, learn, break it in and then go have some real fun.

Fuel? Any brand name with a Nitro content of 20% or higher

Follow the break in instructions exactly! This is probably the most important thing you can do. Also get a fuel filter right away, this is also very important for the engine life as well. As far as fuel I use trinity monster 20% in all my rcs, just stick with a quality fuel, dont use airplane fuel, or cheap fuel. A good set of shocks is a good first hop up (after the fuel filter), you will notice if you start jumping it, you will blow the caps off the shocks. A nice set of aluminum shocks like the Losi/Dynamites are a great hop up. Once it is broken in start tearing it up and have fun. Congrats on your new purchase.

I would agree with NC, follow the instructions to the letter. They are there for a reason. Read the instructions/Watch the DVD several times to really grasp what is being said. Make sure your batteries are fresh, and have fun.

When I got my T, it was my first nitro, and I read the instructions over and over. I didn't want to screw up my new toy. It seems really foreign at first, but after time it becomes second nature.

Make sure your servos work!!!!!! Test and double check everything and make sure you are ready to go break in.

I had a bad TX/RX from the factory which caused me to wait about 1 month.

Follow break in exactly, just watch the DVD a couple of times to make sure you'll know exactly what to do.

I break in new engines on 10% fuel, then switch to 15 or 20 percent after about 1/2 gallon. I like 20% Odonnel because it smells like 22 rifle smoke. Keep it running rich at first, so it just barely shifts into second when the tank is full, because it will lean out as the fuel level goes down.

After proper break-in, the most important thing for engine life is filter maintainence. Clean and re-oil your filter often, especially in dusty conditions. In Arizona it is very dusty, with the stock filter I would clean after about 5 tanks. Wash it in hot water and liquid dish soap, and re-oil when dry. Use good liquid filter oil, I don't like the spray-on oils. I ride dirt bikes, so I have good filter oil around anyway, like Maxima and Uni, but the good brands in hobby shops work just as well.

I don't mean to discount what works for you, but almost all engine manufacturers suggest that you break-in your engine with the fuel you plan on using. If you are planning on using 20%, then you should break-in with 20%.

I also wouldn't worry about shifting during break-in. My T didn't shift until I was on my last tank (6th).
