ok guys gotta rant cause i need to vent.....ok today started out as another day...get up, get ready, and go to school. I did so and parked out back in the parking lot at school. Parked and walked into school at 8:20 a.m. Went to first period and at 9: 14 my friend come in and said"DUDE, YOU GOTTA COME WITH ME, YOU GOTTA CALL THE COPS!!" i was like whats up? He told me that he went back to his car to get his notebook, and there was my car, window busted out, and all my poop gone. I was like "WTF!?!?!?" I ran out there, and sure enough, my window was busted, my door was open and all my poop was gone!!

they got my DVD payer, they got my flip up monitor, they got my 4GB jump drive with all my music/school work on it, and my GPS system. (stupid part was , i had about another $1000 dollars in my system in the back. I had subs and an amp, a crossover, and a 3 farad CAP. I think they got interupted in there stealing cause they didnt steal it, and the door was left open, as if they were in a rush.)

So i called the cops and they came. HE WAS A F***en prick and i hate him. He was an A$$ and wouldent do anything. I found perfect finger prints on the side of my car, and he said"this ain't CSI kid". Then i called my Neighbor who is a sherriff, and he said that if i want him to he has to finger print it. SO i told the cop that, and he said he can get his ass over there and do it himself.

Needless to say, he is getting a complaint to his dept. and my neighbor has got some"news" for him.

Last, when the cop was doing the report, the damn school caught on FIRE!!!!! kitchen caught on fire cause grease from the fries caught on fire!

So the thieves got about a thousand dollars of my stuff ,and caused about $1200 worth of damage to the dash, and window they busted...

Sorry for the rant, just had to do it.

That sucks, I hope they find your stuff and the asshats that stole it.

The reason the cop blew you off, and don't be mad at me for saying this, is that there is almost no chance of your items being recovered. Lifting a finger print doesn't mean a damn thing because I could have touched your car on my way in just the same...unless it's a murder they typically don't do prints.

Get those items insured if you haven't already. This type of thing happens all day. Be glad you didn't walk out in the parking lot and your entire car was stolen.

My small town hillbilly high-school had cameras in the parking lot, have you checked to see if yours does as well? We used to prank my friend by taking all his hubcaps off and hiding them under his car, then one day we got called to the office and watched ourselves doing the deed on video. Aside from some good laughs we were told to never do it again and let off because our friend knew we were just joking around with him anyway. They actually caught kids doing all kind of crazy things with those cameras because noone knew they were there. It never hurts to ask. Hope you get your stuff back, but man that sucks.

What part of ohio are you in? Pics of the car/damage?

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully you have them insured, and you will probably make good money on them. I used to have a stereo installation business, and what marauder said is exactly right. Even if they had the fingerprints, it wouldn't stand up in court. It was surely someone that you knew, because they knew the stuff was there. Next time, you need to have an alarm installed that will alert you on the pager of your key chain if the door is opened or a window is busted, etc... I have one and only gave a couple hundred for it retail. Insurance is a must because when you go around slammin the subs or watching movies, people take notice. I've been through this a lot of times with personal stuff, friends, and my installation business that I had. 9 times out of 10, one of your good friends had something to do with it. Also, look hard at the guy that just happened to notice what happened.

I was thinking it but didn't want to say it, but you are right. Funny the friend didn't see a single thing yet those people were "in a hurry". One good thing about high school, word gets around.

If I were you I wouldn't make a big deal about it, but ask around about stereos for sale. Whoever bought the stolen goods might not know where they came from, and I've seen plenty of people show stolen goods to the rightful owner not knowing that it was a setup. Also, watch craigs list and ebay, and check the local pawn shops. If you find it and can prove it yours (which I hope you wrote down the serial numbers), the pawn shop has to give it up to you at their loss.

man i dont know how people well "thieves" can sleep..they will get what they deserve one day.i hope you find your stuff and the people responsible for this.

atleast it wasn't your home. mine was broke into back in oct. 07', still going through the paces with the courts. cops treated me about the same, looked at all the damage took some pictures and a list of missing items, said we will be in touch? i let about 2 weeks go by contacted them and they said there wasn't any news? i took matters into my own hands, found the guilty parties(juveniles 15/17), got a confession and some of my stuff back. most of the stuff that was returned is damaged.

finally got the cops involved with my investigation, which they wanted no part of even though i had the confession and got some of my poop back? said i was interfering with their investigation?! I WAS LIKE BS! i was interupting donut and coffee time! anyway we have been to court 5 times now. even with a confession and returned stuff we still had to prove them guilty WTF?! then the districtattorney had to decide punnishment, nothing but restitution, no probation, no lets go see what the inside of a jail looks like to scare them, dosnt even go on their record?

we go back to court june 3rd to get the restitution. they had the nerve after getting off clean to say i over valued my stuff? keep in mind i lost my mother 2 years to date of the robbery, and yes they damaged and stole presious items that pertained to her, lost my grandmother a few months after mom and she was a widower all my life(grandpa died years before i was thaught of) and she never remarried or worked so she sat and sewed. i would get handstitched homemade quilts for b day and christmas(never knew what they would mean to me one day, actually use to think they were lame!). i had plastic 1/24 & 1/25th scale models from when i was like 8. this stuff CAN NOT be replaced! and has no $$$ value to me. ohh, forgot to mention they tried to burn the house down to cover their tracks(didnt work thank god)

this world is going to hell in a hand basket!

and if i had to do it all over again, id kill the little fuktards and save me and the world some greif! no j/k.

sorry for long post, guess i needed alittle rant too!

A person my sister goes to college withs' sister recently had a break-in like that. She came home while they were still in the house. They had bagged up everything of value, set candles on the floor and lit them. There was one guy that was about 6 feet away. Luckily, the ladies' dog barked and scared the guy away.

The world is going to hell in a handbasket, and it's all because parents were too afraid to punish their kids.

That's why I have a .45acp on my side at all times with at least 7 230 grain hollow-point friends ready to do battle.

Stealing from my car, I might get mad but there's really nothing in it to take...but if I came home to someone in my house, well...it's just more reason to celebrate KY's castle law doctrine. :)

funny, 5 candles were used in my home on the floor too. either crooked minds think alike or these punks actually did some homework.

Seems like it's the going thing to do nowadays. The only saving grace is the lady had the mind about her to call the cops. They caught one of the idiots; he gave his buddy up within an hour.

Sorry to hear about your stuff getting jacked but whats the deal with having that much into a stero and not having a decent alarm?
And yeah I agree about the cop thing. If you dont have the serial numbers etc. for your stuff, theres basically nothing they can do. And the odds of it showing up, are slim. Best bet is to check around pawn shops, watch craigslist and ebay.

My dad recently took a concealed carry course and now carries a 7-shot .357 magnum (damn that thing is loud when it goes) everywhere he goes. My mom is going to take the course when he convinces her and carry a 5-shot .38 special. All for this purpose. We have a fully wired Brinks system with panic buttons and everything but in my dad's mind, his only security system is the gun at his side.

Sorry about your stuff man. Hope you get it back.

Sorry about your loss. Had someone rip up my dash few years ago trying to get a pos sony radio. Parked right next to the house.
Had someone break a window out of one of my cars when I was a teenager. Only thing that was in it.... A micky-d bag with some trash, but they went through it.

One guy at work had his ride stole several years ago.
Same guy had someone break out the window in another ride. Got his muzzle loader and some other stuff. Both of those times it was snowing like hell and blue cold.
I've walked out several times and be tracks in the snow where they were looking in mine, but I don't keep anything in it.
Had one of the guys toolbox drug to the tailgate. Guess something scared them off.
We are at work trying to pay for our stuff and some prick is outside trying to take it!

I had some guy living across from me was breaking into a lot of houses in the neighborhood. Broke into one 3 times because the old guy had a script for pain pills. That is low-life as hell! Finally caught him and he is spending quite a few years behind bars. (he was on parole anyway)
That was about the time I got a gun safe. 'Ol lady has a lot of coins we were keeping under the bed. I did manage to get 5 pistols in it though.
Somebody breaks in, my dumbass will be trying to get into the safe. Can't get the 1022 in it, but the shells are locked up.

I hate thieves! Get a damn job and work for what ya get!
Catalytic converters are pretty bad here. One dealership lost about 5 grand worth couple months ago.
Got one off of my Mother's car. Muffler off a truck, chainsaw out of the garage. I'm sure I'll find something else before long.

Sorry for my rant...

How times have changed, in a short period. You used to be able to park an open convertible anywhere, even in a mall parking lot, and never worry about it. Now getting into or out of the car is a real ordeal. Remove the stereo face plate, take the remote, pack up the GPS and pull any charger wire out of the lighter socket. Lock the doors and set the alarm and wonder if your car will still be there in the morning.

My dad also got his permit for conceal and carry. He carries a 9mm or else a 40 calibur. I plan to apply for mine here in the next couple months.

My wife's car was broken into quite a few years ago for the stereo. Not really worth stealing, in my opinion, since she had the face plate in her purse. Had my truck broke into for the stereo a number of years back too, I have decided it just isn't worth the hasle to keep anything nice in my cars. If they want it bad enough, they are going to get it. It's a shame it has to be this way, once upon a time ago I never needed to lock the door, now it has to be a vault door with alarms to bring the cops.

Sorry about your things man. It really sucks to have something nice and someone with no consideration for your hard work, time, and money just rip it out from under you.

The world might be a better place if people would just stop and think about how they'd feel if it was them on the receiving end of it. I'd like to think it would anyway. :ponder:

I carry a glock 30....2 hooked knives and in my truck I have 2 pair of 14" Okinawan (the heavy octagonal) style nunchaku....and if all that doesn't work I can beat some ass with my bare hands...all that doesn't mean poop when the scumbags don't confront you to take what's yours.....all the military, MMA, gun training in the world won't keep your stuff safe when someones out to steal it.....My house is actually booby trapped...try to open a window from outside and see how many fingers you keep....try to take my BBQ grill and seehow much blood you loose if you grab the handle the wrong way....I am by no means a crazed militia freak but I will be dipped in poop to my eyes if I won't fight for mine.....

AJ I agree with charlie.....it's very suspicious when someone brings info like that to your attention and seems like they themselves were the one who got robbed......was he immediately trying to get you to go outside or did he ask you first if you knew about your window....usually an innocent person will ask you if you knew before freaking out...a guilty person already knows you don't have any clue what happened and they make a big deal out of it.....I'm not saying your buddy is guilty but how well do you know your "friends" and how many of them are wanna be thugs?
usually the wannabe MTV thugs will rob their "friends" to seem like they are what they portray themselves to be......I suggest you feel out your friends in a very non aggressive manor until you find some info......the moment you let em know you are looking for the thief they will hide from you and it'll be hard to get them.......
good luck and hope you get your stuff back......
