It's called thumbing your nose at someone. Hoooya on your acquisition. I hope you like your T, it's a great truck, though a bit dated and kind of weak compared to the savage (out of the box). At least you got some good rims, though I would trust metal dogbones over plastic ones myself. Also, be careful with the bulkheads and treat the TRX with loving care, the piston skirt is kind of thin and will eventually eat itself, that is when you get the TRX tuned for longer than 5 minutes at a stretch. Also, there are tons of (must have) upgrades to choose from. These will eventually make your T nearly bulletproof, but it may take time. Anyway, I'm glad you made a choice and are sticking to your guns. If you need any help with the truck, be sure to post in the T-Maxx section. I'm sure there is just a ton of info there on the T-Maxx.

While I am thrilled to hear that you got a T-Maxx, I would have been even more thrilled to hear about it in the T-Maxx section of the site. So I did you a favor and moved your thread here.

Good luck with your new truck. Now, go out there and break something.

:D

Good Choice on the MAXX! No matter what any of these knuckleheads:confused: in here say, the MAXX is a great truck! I've had mine for years now, and it's been nothing but a blast! As it may not be quite as durable as a Savage, it is durable. It's a nitro monster truck and no matter what truck you have, things are gonna break. That's why stock replacement parts are made. The only real downfall to the new 2.5 Maxx IMO is the 2.5 itself. It seems that the 2.5 engine is either hit or miss, user friendly or horribly difficult to tune. Hopefully you got a good one!
Welcome to the forum, and if you have any questions please ask, and someone here will most likely respond within minutes.

I'll agree with the rest of your post Gil, but the point was that this thread was originally posted in the Savage section. I have never come in the Maxx section and talked poop about them with malicious intent. Why then would some one come in the Savage section and say "I got a Maxx" other than to talk poop? Hey, if the guy got a Maxx, great! But do you see guys posting in the Maxx section saying "I got a Savage, sorry all you Maxx owners." Sorry if you misinterpreted all the replies to this thread, but it was originally posted in the Savage section and alot of us Savage drivers kind of took offense at that. Not that he got a Maxx, but where it was posted.

I know, I wasn't talking about that though... I was joking about how people down the T in relation to the Savage. Just like with about everything, it's all personal preference.

LOL...at this point the discussion is rather moot. He got a new truck and is happy with it. I moved the thread to the appropriate section. End of story.

As for dogging one or another's rides, that is a matter of pride of ownership. Everyone is going to think their toy is better than the rest. I own one of each, and while I like my T-Maxx...I am still liking my Savage better. As Gil mentioned, it is all a matter of personal preference.

Sky - I was also thinking how Moot this discussion had become...lol

Glad to here you got a T-maxx but no need to apologize to the Savage crowd as allot of them run both..lol.

Now post your first big ass accident here and then you'll start realizing what must have parts you need like Titanium turnbuckles.

I love my Maxx but if you drive like me you need allot of bling bling to fix broken poop and to update some of the arcane parts on the maxx.

Peace
