i found a nitro engine that would fit in a mini t...i was woundering if any of you have a picture of the inside of the rear diff. also a pic of the motor connecting to the diff....if i make a nitro i will post many pics!
 
i am confused on how the power of the engine is converted to the wheels...
 
In the electric setup, the motor drives a big gear. The shaft of that gear goes into the transmission which has 3 gears in a series. The last of those gears also contains the rear differential so when it spins, the rear wheels spin.
An .049 would probably work well on a Mini-T. If you look on Ebay, I think there's still someone selling nitro conversion kits for the T which includes a chassis and such. No doubt if you're going to do that it takes a little creativity. But I'm sure it can be done.

they look mostly to be set up for planes but WOW that is soooo cool to see an internal combustion engine that is SOOO small, lol my g/f would be like aawwww they are soo cute LOL
 
um... that's a NON-throttle engine. You wouldn't want that in any surface vehicle. Basically it's either on or off. that's it.
 
They have throttle, just in a screw-type thing instead of an arm. You turn the screw, you get more or less throttle. My friend had a little cox plane that had one of those, and you have to hold the plane to adust the throttle... kinda have to be creative.
 
the cox queen bee has a carb with a slide throttle i think...thats what i would use
 
The simple .049 engines had no throttle, and no muffler. You can get it with both, now. It's an airplane engine, complete with carb and muffler.
The simple ones just have a HSN for rich or lean, and that's how the RPM was set.
 
Hmm... i guess if it were really rich on the bottom end, it would be harder to accelerate, but when it hits the top end, it would take off when it leans out!
 
any one know where i could buy a nitro conversion kit...link would be usefull!!!
 
how can i get the .061 engines started...do i need a glow plug heater or a roto start or both, also what kind of guel do i need to use?
links would be greatly apprechiated!
