Hi guys , I've got a thunder tiger mta4 s28 and I'm just doing all the fuel lines and any other part I can in orange to match the shell ! But I'm really hating the pinky purple Cylinder head !

Can the cylinder head be Re-sprayed ? or is it possible to find a different head to fit in a other colour ?

Cheers !

You can spray it with a high temp auto engine paint like chevy orange or ford blue. Or just black. Any auto parts store should carry it. Hell I've sprayed the top of my picco cooling head with the same paint i sprayed my lexan body with. So far its held up but i was not concerned about it too much. Just trying to cover up the marks on head where top fins broke off and i had to grind it smooth.

Hey thanks for getting back to me ! Did you strip the colour that was on the head first ?

I just scuffed it really good with a grey scotchbrite pad. Its the same as 1000 grit sand paper or 000 steel wool. Then clean it off with a cloth and denatured alcohol.

You dont want to spray the paint on too thick because it may affect the heat displacement of the aluminum. So if you prep and paint the entire head i would just dust paint on enough to cover other color on center fins. Dont let it build up. Then on very top you can spray a couple coats.
