had some questions abou this motor in my hyper.
last nite i was feverishly tryin 2 find tuning tips and discussions bout this engine and nitro engines in general.
i've been doin a lil needle work and this is what i got from my last tank.
where i started
runnin trinity 20% (although i hear this fuel isnt that good, and thus i might look 2 switch when this quart is out)
lsn (about flush, maybe 1/8th turn in)
msn (flush)
main (~3turns out from 'set')
started out bumplin stumblin around (cold). after warmup, seemed 2 clear out. accleration (1/2 to 3/4 throttle) was a lil hesitant but then started 2 come around. temps in the 180s/90s gettin near 200. 1/8th leaner on main. got a lil better, and 4 next few min the temps were 21x (not tuning around temp but listenin 2 motor, lookin at exh trail, and just plain b'g careful). only bout the last min of the run on low tanks was i gettin into the 23xs/40. then it konked out, no go-go juice.
regardless this was a big improvement over last nite....only prob was i pretty much killed my d cell glow starter b/c i 4got i sat it on the ground and i made a turn around me onto another patch of pavement and speared the thing and it flew 20 feet. oh well.
any thoughts/tips/suggestions...
