Do you guy's think this motor will push the savage? I got the motor on a deal and it's just sitting around.so I was thinking why not find a savage roller.My last savage was S25 I was not to impressed with it no problem tuning but as far as wheelie's went for get it.I temped it at 230f my lhs said some will some won't.do you guy think the Hyper will be any different?
 
230F ?????Mine never ran good until around 280F and up.I ran an Ofna 8 port before and it pushed the savage pretty good..And btw my S25 savage wheelied like crazy...

i bet the hyper will wheelie. i beilieve that Cvec7 has that mill in his buggy and he might have broken it in with his savage so he might post in this topic eventually.

but what gearing did your have with your s-25 and how many gallons in it? mine has just passed about a gallon and a half and is really startiong to wheelie and i have a 14/52 gearing.

but the hyper is a really good engine and i think it will be fine in the savage
 
I had the hyper 8 port in my rc10gt... Talk about wheelies!!! It was super easy to tune, and it was pretty reliable. It should do pretty good in the savage.
 
thank's guy's.now I just need to find a roller for at or under $150. do you guy's think I'll have much luck finding one at that price?.after I get 8 more post's in I can start a wanted add in the market place.man I sure miss my savage I traded it for a Heli that was a bad trade. now I know why the guy had a smile on his face a mile wide
 
My Savage has a Hyper 8 port and won"t wheelie for anything. Temps are running in the 240 degree range. The engine does well on top end but lacks low end punch. Perhaps with the right pipe it would do better.
 
My stock geared, stock S-25 Savage with a half gallon through it will wheelie when up to temp and tuned right!

I've got a K4.6, three speed, and polished pipe going in to it soon, then I'll need a wheelie bar for sure! :D
 
my savage 25 wheelies like crazy with the stock tires.you can put better tires on like low pro race tires and it doesn't wheelie as bad.i would say the 8 port would do pretty good in the savage
 
well trying to find a roller out there is not working so well I found one the other day that a guy had hear in my town but it was trashed and a bone chassie at that and for the price it was not worth it.so I quess I'll wait until after X-mass when Incom-Tax season hit's then I'll buy a new savage SS kit that's probably my best bet.as far as the Hyper goes I'll just wait until I see a wanted add for a 21.thank's for all the help out there
