Still just a light drizzle it's starting to get back in the city though so in about 2 or 3 hours the wind should start picking up a little

We are right in the middle of it now. I have had to bail out the basement outside stairwell a few times. This ks freakin scary guys. It just seems to never end. I wish this sh@@would stop already. I am exhausted and worried and need a drink. We are hunkered down...i hope we can ride it out ok. I am not a religious man....but I am praying now. We are no match for mother nature. Time to make the rounds.

Scared in md.......Tom

Well I just woke up to no power and it's still raining pretty hard.. My guess is that it's mostly gone but it won't be totally gone till about 2pm the news says.

We are getting pelted with rain it isnt too windy yet but give it a few. this sucks because I make my living off the coast pretty much I harvest bloodworms in the mudflats and if the mud doesn't show this week from flooding then I am s.o.l. for money this week. it has already messed up the tides for a few days and I am hoping it doesn't screw with them too too much more trying to save up and get my license back and it aint looking good...

I talked to Joe and he said he's got some basement flooding and the powers out.

I just read that a 5 year old kid in the town I went to school in, was hit by an electrical wire that was blown down. One man tried to help him and was electrocuted. Another man tried to help and was severely burned. They can't send life flight because it's too windy, and the main burn unit is on the other side of the river.
The Tappan Zee Bridge is closed due to high winds. Either the boy or the second man is currently on life support.
Horrendous flooding in the whole area making almost any kind of assistance almost impossible.

Near me it wasn't too bad actually just a little flooding on some roads ad some trees down.. Although our power has been out since 7 this morning and now it's 3pm. NYSEG says the power could possibly be out until Wednesday. My generator is workin it's butt off right now!

Thinking about you guys that were hit, hope to hear from all of you soon!

Well it's over for me now. A little minor water but nothing more than annoying. We have a downed tree branch and some scatterered twigs. Al in all we did okay for not having pose for over 14 hours. I hope everyone else is okay and stay dry...

I hope all is well for the rest of you guys. I have no experience with hurricanes, but from our tornado experience earlier this year I know there's nothing pleasant. Praying for you all !

beautiful out today!!! I havent been to the coast yet to work I will be fiinding out how bad it is about 3pm wish me luck!!!!

Well we have been without water and electricity water since Saturday afternoon. We spent all day yesterday cutting huge oak trees off of the rooftops of my in laws rental properties. We faired ok. We had a few leaks but nothing major. We did however have water leak into the breaker boxes and we have been triying to dry them out over last clue of days. I look around town and see all the huge trees laying on rooftops and my heart goes out to them. When you see it from that perspective I am very lucky. We had to clear out the freezers because everything melted. My brother in law brought us his generator last night since his power was back on so we can keep the fridge and sump pump going. We are very fortunate and I hope everyone else is doing ok. It looks like a bomb went off here and we got a foot of rain on top of it all. Lost a shingle which I repaired today. I did finally get a hot shower at my brother in laws place this afternoon and man did it feel good! I will post some pictures once power and internet are restored.

Hey guys, didn't get power back until late last night, it had been out since about 4:30 am Sunday. Lots of downed wires in my neighborhood and trees down. Two big branches fell on my wifes Liberty, but fortunately just two small dents, no glass damage. Had some minor basement flooding, got two dehumidifers cranking down there now that we have power back, maybe I can get the rest dried up fairly quickly. Got most of the yard cleaned up the past two days, it was a mess, but all in all it could have been much worse.

Guess I'm a little late to this party, but I just got power back (up in MA). Everyone round here stayed safe though. There was a decent amount of property damage spread out across town, but nothing too severe.

My town is bordered on one side by the Atlantic, and has 2 major rivers going through it, so most people live either right on, or close to the water. I know more than a few basements got flooded. I sat outside near the river for a while and watched all the stuff going by. Boat pieces, floats, even a few whole docks went by. No people though.

There was also lots of small debris covering the roads, which isn't too big a deal. But then several transformers exploded, leaving the live wires on the ground, which set all the stuff in the road on fire... So that was kind of fun. Never seen a road fire before.

Other than that, a few roads near the water got washed out, so they have turned into one lane paths through sand. Driving around those areas is a bitch. And we had no street lights for a while. (which isn't a big deal, cause I only think there are 3 in my whole town anyways). But like I said, everyone was safe That's what matters most.

Apparently, most of central Rhode Island isn't getting power back until Friday at the soonest though... Which is fine, because I work and go to school there =D
