glad to hear all is ok...saw some poop on cnn and its getting crazy...hope the power stays on good luck guys
 
The poop is really hitting the fan now! We are experiencing very high sustained winds with higher gusts. The worst part is not really being able to see much outside, and hearing the storm while its kicking our ass. I really can't believe I still have power as intense as the storm is right now.

It looks as though the eye is going to pass directly over me this time, this sucks!
 
WOW iam suprised your still with us NC.I've been watching the news all day.And its looking pretty bad.The eye looks like its tighting up witch can't be good.Is it building steam on shore
 
Its now 4:00 am, I managed to fall asleep for a few hours but the wind gusts had kicked up alot and woke me, heavy rain and sustained winds will now start to get even worse. I am also very surprized we have power still. although we havnt had alot of rain yet, we will be getting dumped on with alot of water in the next 24hrs, Thats it from the nitromaniac storm center here in Sarasota, back to you NC!

That really sucked!!! Well, I just got power back, thank God!. We lost it shortly after my last post last night. It is still coming on and off though. The damage seems to be much less for me this time. I lost a bunch of screens around my pool again, and I had just replaced them after Charlie. I had 2 inches of water in my dining room, that ruined a few pieces of furniture. There are lot of downed trees and debris everywhere. We are still experiencing high winds 30-60 mph and a lot of rain. Nitromaniac is probably still getting a pretty good ass kicking right now, the storm is right over his area right now. I hope you are doing ok NM!

Well its great to see both of you guys and your famileys are ok.
How much longer is the storm going to be in your area.
 
In this next image from NOAA, you can see in the lower right hand corner hurrican Ivan. He is projected to take a similar path as Charlie and Frances, here we go again...

Zandor, not really sure how long it will stick around, I'm sure several more hours for me, and even longer for NM.
 
well i wish you guys a speedy recovery from this storm and i hope everyone is fine. i heard on the news about an hour ago that there are no reported casualties, that is awsome.
 
I hope everyone made it through ok. WHat kinds of buildings are you guys in? Apartments? Private homes? Either way, it is a great time to be a roofing contractor! Best of luck with the next one, poop there won't be any trees left in the whole state pretty soon...

Well, I am finally back, and what an ass kickin the town got, although I never lost power, I lost my cable and was unable to get on and post. I decided to take a drive yesterday to try and take some pics around town, the wind was blowing me all over the road, it was kinda cool!I went over to Siesta key and I thought I was an idiot until I saw these guys out there trying to surf, I was only able to take a few pics before I got kicked off the Island, Glad to hear your ok Joe! what a mess! you ready for round 3?

This sucks! I can see em plain as day! I have been hosting at this site(dot photo) for a long time with no probs, I will figure it out and post them again,, there is only four, but they are pretty good!
