How exactly does that work? Do u have to take it out to charge it each time?

They have an extra lead for the charger.

Yup, you just need traxxas part #3034. That puts the switch, hump battery, and charge lead inside your stock battery box for a clean install.

The 5308 is a revo. The grey t-maxx battery box should accept the switch....I don't know about the black boxes.
