Ok. Wondering about the 5 cell hump packs for the t-maxx. I want 6v but I hear the 5 cell hump packs dont fit the stock Battery box. Like the ones at ballisticbatteries.com. Must I buy a whole new box n all? What do you guys use? :o

Well a lot of people simply scrap the battery box and zip tie the pack to the chassis. That would be my recomendation. Also where you at in OK? X

I use a standard 1100mAh 6v 5 cell hump pack and it fits fine inside of the stock battery box. I also added a charging jack and a bellcrank to the battery box and everything still fits. Maybe its just the ballistics that dont.

You should be fine.

Oklahoma City. Used to work in Sand Springs though. At the Tulsa Boys home there. Small world eh? I see the swap in boxes on Ballistic batteries for like 35 bucks. dunno if it is worth it. Shall see. Thanks for theinfo.:beard:

You could get the hump pack for around 23$ if you shop around. The only thing I use as a guide for battery packs is that they have to be Sanyo based.

Unless of coarse you are running an electric vehicle, then, matched becomes key as well as the manufacturer.

But in the case of the T Maxx hump pack, just find a good deal on a sanyo 5 cell hump. My LHS has them in and could prob hook you up.

No need to change the stock box at all.

If you havent delt with Ballistic before you might want to think twice because I know a few people that have and didn't care for their service one bit. If you knwo anything about Robin at SuperMaxx well the guy that owns Balistic "Patrick" and him get along well they have uniqe opionis about customer service. Just and FYI take it for what its worth. X

Yea, so 5 cell AA NiMh right? 2x3 setup. I found em cheap at onlybatterypacks.com Looks like the same thing. Who makes the one you got christian

Nevah dealt with Ballistic. I shall be weary, thanks.

Well on the battery paks it says:

MPI 5H-1000A NiMH 6.0V 1000mah

Thats the one I just picked up today for my Kanai. I'm thinking my Maxx one is 1100mah but I could be wrong. Now I'm going to go and take it apart.

Ill find the manufacturer as I have been to their site (HUGE!!!!)

Give me a few.

Hey "C" Still waiting on my Servo Saver maybe it will come today. I ordered it last friday and I thought it was going priority. Anyway what type of pack is your guy selling that cheap? I was looking at getting some of the trinity 1100 packs. I can find them around 27.00 online.

The Orions and others are running like 35 bucks online. Anyway let me know. X

Well my LHS doesn't have them for 23$ but I'm sure they are good. I just recall seeing them online for that price.

Either way, I went downstairs to pull my Maxx apart and have a BOATLOAD of water in the basement. I will get everything here together shortly. Sorry.

Also, call J at Fields. He will be there another 5 minutes or so and find out where it is. Chances are it will be there today or tomorrow. I know with that storm that hit this past week, EVERYTHING got slowed down unless it was Overnight delivery. I just got an order two days ago that was shipped on the 25th of November!!!! UNREAL! It came from Cali though.

Anyhow, back to the mop. I'm going to post some pics too.

Ok update. I thought it was coming Priority it came first class. I got it today which that is cool for the price I paid. Now I will be in my dungeon all night working on my beast. X

Glad you got it!

Ok here are the pics with the hump pack, 3 way switch, charging jack and bellcrank all installed on the stock battery box.

I'm still trying to find the site. Grumble, Grumble........

Thats not a bad price (27 shipped) for the pak and charger. The only thing I dont like is the connector and if you have a rapid charger you will have to more than likely create a custom connection. Also, it hangs out, which would drive me nutz! Lastly, I do not know who makes the cells in the pak. I like my Sanyo's.

I installed the charge jack, switch and pak. My price was definately more than 27$ total, but, I got the setup I wanted. Nothing exposed! Cutting out the charging jack is interesting. You can use a dremel and drill or you can use an exacto blad and keep tracing the same rectangle until it cuts through. Even though I have a dremel, I opted for the razor blade to make it cleaner. So I thought anyhow.

The yellow is just fuel tubing covering my linkage. Just for looks.

Yea. The cells be sanyo I think. The connector is Standard Tamiya from what I can tell. Comes wit charger. Think Ill go wit dat one. Although, I guess I have strap the end down or tapeit downer sumpin. can't have that thing bouncin around all day. That why I like your s I guess. Nnice job.
