7mm hex hub extension?
It all depends on the vehicle and how it is set up, but why do you want extensions? What vehicle?
Adding extensions make the servo work harder.
I run extensions on an Arrma Granite 4x4, and have for over a year, and i haven't had any issues with the servo, but it also has a 25KG metal geared servo, so that might make a difference. My issue was with the extension being too far out from the bearing, and the bearing kept popping out of the hub, so i shimmed it, and it hasn't had any issues since.

You have reduced the power and have issues with bearings popping out with extensions.

You have changed the steering geometry moving the wheels further from the main pivot point This reduces power. So Now your steering servo need more power to compensate for the lost power.

The Arrma Granite 4X4 Mega comes stock with a 7KG servo, so it was under powered right from the start, hence the switch to a 25KG all metal servo, which has more than enough power even with the hub extensions.
