Please don't spam our board for one freaking post. Because this one is better then yours.:spam

Good luck with your new venture.
In the future please don't hit and run with spam on our forum.
We believe in forging relationships with others in the RC community.
If you contact us we will be glad to post a link in our links section.

In the meantime I'm sure our members will let you know what we think about spam.

You may want to consult an attorney about your domain name. It contains not 1 but 2 registered trade names from the same company. I may be wrong but I believe that if challenged HPI would have problems obtaining the domain name from you.
Not that it would happen but its certainly within their rights to do so.

He can submit his own link no need to contact anyone.

WOW - Calm down guys.

While agree totally with having hpisavagecom stick around and maybe post a bit here, by no means has he "spammed" the site. I hardly think that ONE post is spam.

In case you didnt know, nowhere in the rules does it say people cannot post links to other sites here. If Hpisavagecom has a site to gain more knowledge then by all means please post the link.

I for one am not going to go down the road that some "other" sites of picked, by banning people or throwing them out the door over a freaking link, for those that forgot already...if it wasn't for a much hated site here that allowed the RCNitroTalk.com link to stay up as long as it did, RCNT wouldnt be what it is now.

While it would be nice for hpisavagecom to add his link to the links page for further reference, i wouldnt count ONE post as any type of spam.

 I only said that because the odds are he will not return.

Whatever on the spam thing. I agree with WoodiE, one post does not make :spam

As for the site, I wish it well. I remember this site in its infancy. It was better looking, but not far from the same level of membership. Now it is a rockin' place that most who come never leave.

Good luck with your site HPISavage.com BTW hope you have all of your legal ducks in a row. Two trademarked names, a couple of copywritten images and all before you reach a couple of months old. You are setting yourself up for an HPI lawyer kick in the jimmy.

6 days and no reply from the thread starter, hpisavagecom. Guess he was just making his post, what I choose to call :spam and never coming back. WOAH, I guess his :spam worked, he's got 68 members now!

I find it a shame that people involved in the same hobby/interest would react so negatively to another site.

If you took the time to check the site out you will notice that we are a HPI Savage only forum, we are not trying to duplicate this site in anyway, we are just trying to offer HPI Savage owners a place to discuss this truck.

As for Mayhem's post being deleted, yes it was, and the reason for this is that it contained language in the signature which we consider inappropriate, so it was removed.

Looks to me like the reason he only posted once, was the reception he recieved. I know if I was new to a board, and I got attacked in this manner, I also wouldn't return.

Not everyone attacked him, but the point that was trying to be made was a valid one...just not delivered in the most tactful manner. What do you expect from this crowd? We are a bunch of hard-asses and we tend to eat our young (newbies).

Ok first off I would like to point out this is not attack to hpisavage nor his website, but something I seen and found pretty ironic.

This was taken word for word from his website rules:

2) Web site advertising, Do not post links to web sites these forums are not for Advertising they are here to provide Information about a recreation that so many people enjoy. We want to keep the forums for Information about the R/C's. You may advertise your website in your Signature as long as you post a link back to HPISAVAGE.COM on your site so others can find us. After all this is fair, if your site is not linked back to us you will be warned.

Note that is rule number 2. I find it funny that a site that posts their links on other forums doesn't allow others to do so, nor do they have a link back to RCNT.

Ohh well, something I'm sure some of you will have fun with. :\

Apparently the "practice what you preach" philosophy of doing things was not taught to this fellow.

Doesn't look like he's been back (since the 8th); so we may never know.

His loss.
