I have a set of HPI GT tires on GT5 rims. I stripped the inside hex where the wheel hub sits. I am wondering if I demount them from the HPI rims, can I use them on Traxxas T-Maxx rims or do I need to buy another set of HPI Rims?
 
The only thing I would be concerned about would be if the rims have the traxxas bead. If so you may have difficulty getting the tires to seat properly. A complete set of rims will run you like $30.
 
I would double check the HEX's inside the Rim & do a test fit to the RIG 1st.. Before you attempt to dismount tires & remount.. I know some Rim's won't fit the MAXX's..
This way it will save you the hassles if thay dont match up & worst case buy yourself a new set of RIM's that will fit.. Like phins fan said new rim's wont set you back that much...

Those tires & rims are 3.2in MT bead & will fit any 3.2in/83mm MT rim.

I ended up finding the exact same rims that came on the tires when I bought them on eBay.. My LHS ROCKS!! Thanks for the advise

Things give crazy hookup!! Hes not gonna be able to slide as easy though as I find myself flipping much more now cause of the sidebite. I have em for my AX10 as well and LOVE them for crawling. The soft sidewall makes em push a little but they allow you to climb just about anything!
