Well, since the NY HPI challenge is going to be on-road for the Savages AND you have to use HPI tires, which ones should I use, stock or Dirt Bonz. Guy at the lhs says the dirt bonz will turn to slicks in about 5 minutes on the blacktop. Anyone have any experience with this?

stock w/ trinity FOAMS, will give your tires a much more solid feeling. Dont wanna waster your money on BONES that'll burn up in day.

Well if it were me and I had the money to blow I would go with the Bonz. Run them before a race so you wear what thread they have off. This way you have a HPI tires that are now Slicks. The Slicks would have way better traction on the blacktop for take off and cornering. Unless it is wet of course.

Yes, if you have the money to spend, go w/ the dirtbonz then wear them down to slicks before the race. If not, jus stick w/ stock, even tho they suck for racing....

What sucks is that HPI does make some nice street tires for their stadium trucks. Is the Savage like HPI's read-headed step child?
