I am picking up a new RS4 3 18SS soon and have some questions about tires. I have had experience with the stock tires before and I did not like them. They did not hook up for me at all and wore out fast. I switched to the super radials after than and really loved them but I can not remember what compound I got.

I know that they are the Super, Pro, and M compound but I need to know which compund would be best for parking lot bashing. I like to have a lot of grip mainly, but I don't want em to wear out as fast as the stock ones. I plan to keep the stockers if I feel the need for burnouts haha.

Also, should I go with the v-grooves or the super radials?

Thanks a lot for any help.

If you're looking for "burnout-on-demand", I'd definitely say no to the V-groove. I'd say go with a soft (maybe pro compound) super radial. That way, you'd get pretty good grip (being that the Pro compound tires are softer) and enough slippage to give you a burnout when hit hard enough since their is less surface contact than v-grooves/slicks. M compounds seem to be a little harder than the pro compound so that's another possible option IMO. You could also try an M-compound v-groove tire (more surface contact yet harder surface) G'luck with your choice.

I am wanting grip with these tires lol. The stockers would be for burnouts.

oh ok,

Got mixed up :-(.....Then without totally giving up tire life (slicks), I'd say pro compound v-grooves. sorry about the mix up

No problem man. Pro v-grooves are what I had in mind, just wasn't sure if I had the compunds right. Thanks for your help!
