HPI Super Nitro RS4 Build #2

Picked up a bone stock super nitro to add to the collection. My other one is heavily modified so this is a nice counterbalance to that.

It only needs minor things so the plan is to get:

-body mounts
-servos
-linkages
-body

I don't know why, but those mufflers really make the car quieter than the rest.

I had Mini Cooper (see profile pic) with exactly the same exhaust, and it was super quiet.

They definitely do, it’s a nice change sometimes to get away from a screaming loud tuned pipe. The neighbors are a bit more tolerant.

I scored this 280mm super rs4 body for a whopping $4! That’s right, one of my luckiest deals ever! The paint work is very good for an amateur job. It has some frontal scrapes but some rubbing alcohol concealed most of them. I have this one on the new super but will probably save it for a runner build.

This car was supposed to stay stock but that didn’t last very long

I found a crown jewel of Super Nitro parts: the “Super” HD 7075 chassis plate PN A966

So I tore the car down

Here’s the stock (left) compared to the HD chassis (right)

Zipped it all up with the factory HPI screws (yes two are silver, idk why)
