This will be my (re)build thread.

Just got it today, roller with stock servo. Was sent the stock motor and esc, but I have no intention of using them. The motor will get trashed in my wife's Stampede, esc will collect dust.

Anyhoo, to test it I dropped in a Castle SV2/4600kv combo, and a Losi (Spektrum) rx. I attempted to drop in a Sky LiPo 2s 5000 mah 40c, but it was too thick, so the Venom 2s 5000 mah 30c would have to do.

Took it for a spin, had to jam the steering trim all the way to the left to get it to go straight, I'll adjust the servo soon. It's fun, and it screams.

A few things I need to do:
Fix steering
Find a way to fit a 40c battery
Change the hideous body.
Play around with the gearing. 24/87 on the 4600kv, 105 degrees.
Get VTA legal body, motor, tires. While I was waiting for it, I found out couple guys I race short course with started up a F1/VTA racing club, so far just outdoor, but I wanna do it! Probably won't start that until next year though.

And now for the pics!

Good lookin car! Thats one thing I wish Traxxas did with there N4Tec is place the drive belts in the center of the car, instead of on the side next to the rear tire...

Speaking of belts, I need to add a tensioner for the rear belt.

Discovered tonight that my '57 Chev pickup body fits quite well. Another body I need to buy now. It looks pretty good on it, if only I hadn't used it as a painting experiment in the past...

It does look good with those wheels, could you just strip the paint? I've read about brake fluid, never done it before. Or you could just leave it like it is and beat the crap out of it.

There's paint on that lid that's almost 20 yrs old, there's no way I can strip that one down. I'd be better off buying a new one. This lid will just end up being a basher...

Hell draw a scary ass face as the grill and lights, I think that would be pretty awesomesauce.

Took it out for a bit today, got maybe a 1/4 battery on it before the spur came off. Can't find the screw or pin, hopefully I have something that will fit for a replacement.

What?! The only thing hideous is the ricer wing, otherwise I like the body :)

The truck body is a nice fit.
+1 The wing is a fast n furious feature IMO lol but I love the older gen mustangs for the fact I had an all original 65.

Where is a good place for on-road parts? I usually buy from A-Main, but they don't have much for Sprint parts.
