Hi all , I got an hpi savage x 4.6 , 3 speed , and it seems I'm having some trouble with it , this morning I've went off roading with it and I crushed it into a tree ( I'wasn't doing with much speed ) The engine continued working but when I push the gus trottle in the remote , the engine sounds working and increasing speed but the savage dosen't move .. When It's on the ground and I'm increasing gurs, i see the metal spur gear and the gear next to it ( one from the engine ) spinning.. I've checked the metal spur gear to see if all the teeths on it are worn , but all of them seems to be good .. Does anyone know what's the problem pls ?

Hi,
Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your hpi Savage X purchase.

I might suggest taking your model to a LHS, perhaps where you bought it, and have them have a look see...

Enjoy your time spent on the forum.

Chas

thank you... I've stripped it down , and noticed that the front right wheel dogbone axel is broken , and the front left dogbone is curved ... cross fingers that the trouble is comming from them ..

did it sound like the engine was loading up? flooding? .... a while back i had rolled mine pretty hard and after that i could not get it to run sounded like it was loading up and could barley to get it to go full throttle with the wheels off the ground.. on the ground i got nothing... ended up pulling the engine apart sealing it and replacing the seals in the carb and sealing that as well... close as i can figure the roll broke the seal of the carb... as it runs better than it ever has now..

No not @ all , but the engine sound very strange now ... I'm replacing the wheel dogbone , but I think I've got some type of problem in the gearbox .. because when I turn thw wheels freely , I 'm hearing a click noise ..
