Hpi savage roto start just spins

i went to start my savage today and everything was fine it was just about to start when all of the sudden the rotostart was spinning freely in where you stick in the roto start rod, everything on the rod and stuff are fine but i can tell that its not catching on the inside to start the engine, so why could this be, and how do i fix this

There's a one way bearing inside the cover on the engine. Remove it, clean it with denatured alchohol and re-install it. Check the that you install it the right direction and that it is working before you bolt everything up tight, it is possible that it is worn out and needs replaced depending on how much use it has seen.

try to change the one way bearing i had an ofna twin titan and my roto start did the same thing then i changed the one way bearing and now it works fine

yah i took the bearing out and cleaned it but now it works, but the bearing has a crack in it so I'm gonna have to replace it.
