hello ppl my problem is when i open out the throttlr it runs for about 2 seconds then dies, also it feels like it gets hot very fast even from cold, it also wont idle correctly, does anybone know how many turns i give the needle from fully closed just to get it running safely. there is a lot of blue smoke it that healthy??

The smoke is good, you want to see the smoke. But if it is getting hot fast it sounds as though it is running too lean, turn the needle out counterclockwise, I am assuming you have the stock one needle carb on the engine right? Do you have a temp gun?

Typically the more smoke the less you have to worry about it being too lean.

I would try to find a manual on your engine to set everything back to the factory defaults for break in. Then start leaning out little by little from there. Does that engine have TWO needles (HSN and LSN) or just one?

There are a few helprul articles written by members here on how to tune an engine. If you have a 2 needle setup I would follow those tips and let us know if you are still having a problem. do a search on ENGINE TUNE.
