Well I got a tank in then had to come feed my son, but holy moly this thing is SICK!!! THe handeling is alot better than I imagined it to be for sure too! Perfect speed for me, I can't wait to really drop some coin on this thing!!

WOOO!!! Then the truck stalls in my field..... Just FYI, this had 3 inches of snow on it, and now has light sunshine and a day and a half of rain just making it a wonderfull muddy mess. THing was, I didnt realize it was slopping mud until after it stalled......

^^Yeah, it was far, so I starting creeping out and instantly failed on my behalf. I get back, and just HAD TO SHOW YOU the new design on my 3 day old $70 shoes!!

Nice shots killer, man that looks like fun. I'm getting the itch for the trucks again, thanks to you guys. Just waiting on some parts for the newest addition to the fleet so I can go give it a good bash session.
 
I was going to take my time with pics but I felt like if I let off the throttle it would die, oh yeah, it did and I paid the price :hehe: yeah this is my first MT and its so fun lol this would make a badass truggy.

I am terrible at tuning still I went out for another tune and tank and could not get it dialed in... I dont have the low end PUNCH. Seems like I have no rev either lol but I did in my Jato so I dont know wtf...

Yeah WHEW just got back from tank 4, this thing IS A BEAST NOW!! Oh my word haha, had my 2yr old son sitting on my shoulders just watchin me bash on neighbors grass and speed passing saying vrooom as it went by lol fun stuff!!

Whats the trick to tuning to get wheelies without super lean? I can get almost up leaned pretty far out.. Turned it back though
 
and hammer it hit the breaks and hammer it again really quick. that always works for me.

Thats actually the Jato 3.3 in her, I thought the storm coming was going to be snow and lots of it, instead it was rainy and p. sunny lol so next good day I will break her in.

What chassis do you guys reccomend? I want no blue please.
Is carbon fiber a worthy chassis?
 
No, the c/f chassis are brittle and tend to break easily. I recommend the longer 3.3 chassis. You can get the blue anno removed.
 
back in the day aka around 2000 when i first got into this hobby the way to remove anno was oven cleaner in a ziploc bag..seems like this method has been forgotten but it worked great back in the day. keep in mind it wont be polished tho...
 
You might be able to get a platinum chassis on ebay.
Make sure you read the 2 threads that ercm put up in the vendors lounge. That should get you tuned up pretty good.
 
I was looking at the platinum chassis, but if not, is the 3.3 extended the 5308 or 09?

If I devide on the platinum chassis, will my 2.5 parts bolt right up to the platinum without any needed parts?

Alrighty, I just picked up:

Full front RPM a-arm set
True Track RPM rear conversion
#5309 anod. blue shassis
one way bearing for the 3.3
on board temp guage
Revo wing
factory front & rear shock mount and body mounts.

Didnt quite have enough for some front steering knuckles, maybe next week :D
 
I was gonna say, the 5304, 5308, and 5309 are all the same except for the silver or blue. You could've even used a slayer pro chassis.

Keep us posted on the happenings.
 
I'm excited, I have never have built a nitro from the chassis up so I am scared/excited.

Not sure if I want to de-ano the blue or not, the arms are blue and Traxxas looks sick all blue and red IMO, we will see.

All the parts are from 3 vendors on ebay, all at differant days, so I will have like 5 boxes coming lol it will be like xmas all over again, except RC stuff.
 
^^Lol I almost bought one like that, but I want to experiance the build myself, not connect pieces to a partially built rig. Therefor I can clean, undertand and learn it so it becomes easier to me in the future.
