Hello all,
I got a new hpi 5.9 engine for my savage, followed the hpi method, stared the engine and let it idle for three tanks, now the engine temp never exceeded 160f, was very strange for me.
Started the driving process, yet the engine still cold, wrapped it with aluminum foil, still no luck, didn't exceed 150f, now the HSN needle is almost 3/4 turned in, I never saw any thing like that, always had issues keeping engine temps down. This is a first time.
Does that engine come super rich? I am using 20% nitro 12% oil. Already on that temp its shifting to second. I also tested my temp gun on boiling water and compared it to another temp gun its reading correctly.
Any ideas is highly appreciated.
