Can anyone tell me why my hellfire keeps eating the metal spur and cb up I am running a 15/52 combination replaced the gears the other day took it to the baseball park for about 2 hrs it ran fine but then I jumped a baseball diamond accidentally and it ate the gears but they were meshed properly oh yeah I am running an axial 32 with a vented clutchbell Could the impact of landing full throttle be what ate the gears or what? Any one please

Are you running a hardened clutchbell? You need to be if you're not. That's my first thoughts.

I would check out the trans brace and trans mount screws..If it gets loose the chassis will flex making the mesh between the gears inconsistent thus eating them up when bashing or blasting rough terrain;- you could have bad clutch bell bearings also.The pitch between the gears could be off too....either that or your not meshing the gears correctly using the strip of paper method[you never said how you meshed the gears]...The Axial .32 has a ton of torque so its possible the brute power ripped the teeth off and that would attribute to how tight you had the slipper...I have the Axial .32 in a MGT 8.0 chassis and its ripping the truck apart...Like racer1966 said i would look into a matched hardened steel set like the Robinson bell and spur...The Axial .32 becomes more of a monster with the optional turboplug head button to increase spool-up aswell as rpms on topend...I just installed 1 today and its definately worth the loot and the time to install..
