HPI Baja 5B?

I have a guy at work trying to sell me a HPI Baja 5B, I don't know anything about them. He said it runs and drives fine, no issues. He says it has a weed whacker motor, I still have to google this car but figured this place would have the best answers. He is going to bring it to work in the future so I can check it out, I only have electric RC, anything I should look out for on this specific car?.. you think they are worth $250 used and decent shape? Thanks fellas.

I will ask, I haven't seen any photos, he literally asked me like 5 minutes before I posted this, lol... I have no idea about these so I only asked if it runs and drives, lol. I will see if I can get a photo from him so I can post it up.

Cool, he's gonna bring it to work the Saturday we work when nobody is here so we can run it and I can check it out, as long as it works good, I will pick it up... boy, my lady is not going to enjoy this... haha.

He sent me these… I see Baja terminator on the spoiler… I googled it and I’m confused, I’m not sure if this is an actual HPI 5T or a knock off that’s compatible with the same parts… any insight? The other brand I see is still a $700 truck…

Guess I will have to see if I can see any markings when I see it in person, he told me he wanted $350 and lowest he would go is $250 but I was gonna offer less regardless, lol. I was thinking about $200.. we'll see when I can check it out in person.. thanks for the help.

check out fearless rc and see if that is similar to one of the Rovan trucks. They have one that looks like that. I agree with the wookie, if it’s just a Rovan clone then offer $200
It could be an hpi but I honestly wouldn’t know. Look at it really well before buying it for $350. Shoot, don’t pay anymore than $250 if that’s his lowest threshold.
