I'm looking into buying myself a baja but can't decide, iv found a Baja 5B SS at modelsportuk and its a kit so i build it myself and thats making me what it, also if i buy a kit would i need to buy receiver + servos + controll + other crap

would like some answers fast as I'm wanting to buy today so i can get it on monday :D

IF i do require to buy them i need to know if these are gd enought

Spektrum DX3E 3Ch DSM Surface Radio - £69.00
S200 digital servo - dont know if thats gd enought, comes with remote
SR300 DSM 3-channel receiver - comes with remote
Killer Bee Kit 5 - About $100 - killswitch as iv read its a must have

i know the radio works with the killswitch but i dont know if the servo + receiver is strong enought for baja 5B SS

The -5b SS is a kit that needs assembly. The radio and RX you list is a pretty good choice. I use the DX3s on my -5b RTR. You will need a better servo for steering than the S200. You will also need a servo for throttle and brake. You might want to try this for your steering:

This one is a good one for the throttle/brake:

I believe this company can ship to Great Britain. You can probably find these locally.

I didnt think the 5b could use a standard servo for steering......... at least with out modifying your rig

regardless if you could make it fit, i don't think any standard size servo would last more than a week in a baja. Even though it may not have the highest torque numbers the sheer size of the case leads me to believe it has some beefy gears inside.

you need the large servo that the truck is designed to use. It dwarfs a standard size.

The SS kit is the way to go. The build is part of the fun. You will need a Rx/Tx, battery, throttle/brake servo (Hi-Tech 7599TG is a good choice).
