Hey all, I was just trying to swap out carbs. on a HPI .25 motor, and the carb. hole in the block is bigger on one, and smaller on the other. They look the excact same otherwise, is there a sleeve I'm not seeing or what?Just wanted to change blocks and see if the other one ran o.k. thanks for the help SAVAGEBEAST

Are they both 25s? The 25 carb has an insulator sleeve on the carb neck,if it's loose on your carb you won't be able to hold the carb tight on the engine. Possibly the smaller hole has the sleeve stuck in it.

First of all, they are plastic carbs. and they are both .25's hpi. One carb. has a bigger neck than the other one, which doesn't make sense to me, but there seems to be a sleeve in one of the motors. I tried to remove it, but it doesn't budge. I have alot of other engines layin around, so I just started swapping parts from the HPI, to the HOT BODIES engines. They have metal carbs. and fit alot tighter in the block. I will let you know how that turns out. lol wish me luck. I know I know, all you guys out there are "by the book" kind of guys, with brand names and tolerances, but I like to experiment a little, who knows maybe I'll get a bad a&& little motor, and maybe I'll trash it, no worries tho. thanks for the help.
