how to test a servo

i was just at the rc park having a good time after a long week at work my truck was running fine and then the steering survo lost power I changed batteries still nothing. I would like to know is there away to check them before I go buy a new servo and find out that was not the problem. thanks

test it on another channel on your RX that you know works ..like the throttle channel ...and vice versa ...test your steering channel with the throttle servo

What is the servo's model that you are having issues with?

i have the stock one that i have ran for 2 years it a E6001

Buy yourself a good one ballbearing with metal gears little more$ but it will give you great service.
