how to remove wheels?

i know htis may be a silly question,

but is there any specific way to remove the wheels of my savage?, I've took the nut off and for the life of me jsut can't the wheel off the truck,

so was just wondering if theres any specaial way its held of or a special way of removing it?

Put the nut on and stop turning it before the axle threads come through and tap it with a small hammer while pulling on the wheel.
It sounds like the wheel hex is partially imbedded in the hub.
